She is the happiest person I know. Good grades make her happy, but people and experiences make her more happy. I try my best not to use my anger to motivate ("my way or the highway" was not taught my Spock me thinks) and the third lesson you should add is "smile your way through it". I am an over-acheiver stuck on rules - most of the time - and I have to step back when dealing with my child and take another (fresher) look at learning.
